Alright….so we all know that missions trips are not free! It’d be nice if they were though! Meh, but they’re not.
I need to raise right around $16,000 dollars so that I can go on this journey. That covers travel, housing, food, airport costs and any business costs that may occur. In addition, that covers any ministry needs that will occur while I am gone, such as buying food for a family or clothes for a homeless person or getting bibles and soccer balls to orphaned kids.
That sounds like a lot of money…but when we look at it for what it is–an opportunity to show a lost world Jesus–$16,000 doesnt seem like a lot! “In your strength I can crush an entire army; with my God I can scale any wall” (Ps 18:29). I’ve come to understand that when we willingly work at what God wants us to accomplish in life (Col 3:23), nothing can keep our God from accomplishing those good works in us. So, I’m not worried about scaling this wall because with my God, I CAN scale it! I’ll just keep seeking out opportunites to raise the money and it will come when Papa is good and ready to give it to me. 🙂
And that’s where you come in! I need people who are willing to give from the wealth God has blessed them with to assist me in making this dream come true. When we really think about it, even the pooerest among us in America has more than most people in this world. So, whether it is $5 or $5,000 you can give…your gift will help the lost see Jesus.
