In case you have not received an email from me of have talked to me recently, I want to give you an update.
I wanted to let you know that after spending time in prayer and talking with my family, I have decided that rather than going on the World Race and then coming back and finishing graduate school here in Connecticut, I am going to finish school first and then go on the World Race. So instead of leaving for the World Race in August 2016, I will now be leaving in August 2017. I am confident the Lord has called me to the World Race and that throughout my life I will be involved in missions in one way or another, however for the time being I believe that the Lord is calling me to finish the path He has put me on here in Connecticut first. There are many great things ahead of me, but there are many great things where I am right now as well.
My account with the World Race will be temporarily deactivated until this upcoming August when the August 2017 trips will be announced. If you have given already, I will be able to keep the donations that I have received so far. If you have been thinking about giving to my trip, I will be sending out another letter in August with new information regarding my trip and fundraising, so please hold off any new donations until my next update.
While I am saddened that I won’t be embarking on this journey in August, I know that the Lord is going to use this next year to strengthen me and prepare me even more for when I do leave in August 2017. By delaying my trip until August 2017, I will also have much more time to raise the necessary funds. In the meantime, the Lord has opened some potential missions opportunities this summer that I am very excited about!
