I have always been the type of person who never really asked for help. Sometimes I felt like it was a defeat to ask for help. But, then The World Race came along. A process of breaking barriers and having to dig deep within yourself even before the journey begins. But, future world racers and previous racers have all realized the journey begins the moment you have been accepted!
I am a month away from the date our first goal should be met. I have $460 out of $3,500 and yesterday doubt came like a thief in the night. My heart was heavy and a million thoughts came across my head. and here is why:
The month of August was supposed to be dedicated to fundraisers and the beginning of September as well, but then came a huge hurtle that came like an unexpected bucket of cold water. I became ill and landed in the hospital (I previously wrote about it “Changes and More”) and just when I thought I was gonna be able to start working on fundraisers, my brother became extremely ill and has remained in ICU for the past 3 weeks. Almost a month. I have been sitting in a hospital room for more than 12+ days and I feel like my hands are tied and nothing can make them lose.
I am not gonna lie and say I am not a little worry about what’s going to happen, but I wont stop believing and having faith and trust on the Lord that he will provide.
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering for Hewho promised is faithful” Hebrews 10:23
So I stand on this Hope, that anchors my soul. I know God will provide!
