We have all read, heard, and seen all the things that are happening around the world. From Israel&Gaza, to the Ebola outbreak in WEST Africa, and the genocide in Iraq. All this is happening months before the launch of my journey in The World Race. I have been asked several times “Aren’t you afraid?”
“Am I afraid?” as human beings we have the tendency to let fear cripple us from living our lives for God. The devil feeds himself from our fear to convert us into crippled Christians afraid to preach the Gospel. Yes, I said it some of us can say we love God and we just want to do His will in our lives, but become fearful of what our Non-Christians friends would think, what society will say, and facing DEATH! We expect our walk to be easy, but I think our trials make for a better testimony to Glorify our living God!
Why are we so afraid of all these things? Well in my personal experience. Fear came out of sheer ignorance of HIS word! I lived in fear of every one and everything!! Then I read
Ephesians 3:11-12 “according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.”
Then:
In 2 Timothy 1:7 says “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of sound mind” AMEN!!
and then one I prayed once on a airplane with a lot of turbulence:
“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear; because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love” – 1 John 4:18
See, if we are born again all things become new! We inherit boldness and all things from heaven! Isn’t that AWESOME?!!
The people that know me and really know me, would expect me to say “Yes! I am afraid.” I am of new creation!
So “Am I afraid? my answer is NO!
” Only God himself has the days of my life numbered, he knows when my last breath will come to be. I think we become selfish and attached to this life and we become selfish in wanting to keep someone on this earth longer than what they’re meant to be.” It was my response to someone’s questions “Aren’t you afraid?”
My love for the lost is far more, than my love for living! In the book of Matthew in different chapters it mentions that we find our lives when we lose it!
Matthew 10:39 “Whoever finds their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life for my sake will find it”
Matthew 16:25 “For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it”
I would rather have little and walk in His presence, than have a lot and just go through the motions!
With I leave! Don’t lose heart, he is always with us! Matthew 28:20 “Remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age”
Love and Blessings!
