Hey so team changes happened at Month 5 of our debrief, as you can tell by the new faces on the side of my blog site (and one familiar face) and our new team name! I will be blogging about this soon, but for now, we have arrived safely at our ministry site for our month in Cambodia and it has excellent Wifi, so that means more videos and vlogs for you guys!
This video/vlog is about our daily life in Ghana and conquering my fear of heights (at least for that day!) by going to a canopy walk in Ghana on our weekend off that month. The video shows some school shots where we were teaching assistants for the month, a day-in-the-life at CORM, our off weekend at the canopy walk and staying at a super nice Air B&B in Ghana, and then back at CORM for the Children’s Day in Church (we had been helping them practice these songs and dances all month at CORM).
Ironically, even though this video is of Month 2 of my World Race, it features some shots of my old team and most of the girls who are now on my new team, Ruach Chayil! When this video was taken, I was on Morgan’s team, One Pulse, and we were living and serving with Darcy’s team, Ethereal Flames, for our month in Ghana. The video is a little long (11 and a half mins.) because I put the whole month into one video. But when you have a few extra minutes to watch it, I hope you guys enjoy!
Update on Fundraising: Thank you all for your generosity! Altogether you have helped me raise 97% of my support goal! Yay!! I recently talked to one of my squad leaders and a squad coach about my support goal at our Month 5 debrief in Cambodia, and they told me that since I am so close to reaching my goal, I am allowed to stay on the field as long as I keep fundraising until that goal is met! Praise the Lord! I recently miscalculated how much I have left to raise, so the final amount I have to raise is $404 to be fully funded! Praise the Lord! That’s nothing for God to raise a few hundred dollars! You have already helped me raise a little shy of $17,000! Wow!
Please prayerfully consider donating to my World Race support goal to keep me on the field so I can continue to send you updates about how God is moving in each country through blogs and videos! To donate, click “donate!” above to make a tax-deductible donation to Adventures in Missions on my behalf. I am so grateful for all the generosity that has been poured out on me already! Please help me to reach this goal and stay on the field!
Prayer Requests:
~Please partner with me in prayer that I would be fully funded by Christmas! (By the way, my birthday is on Dec. 21st…if you would like to send me an early birthday gift, I would love to receive donations to stay on the World Race! Thank you!)
~Please pray that we would serve alongside our ministry hosts well this month at Overflow guesthouse in Cambodia. We are doing village outreach, serving our hosts by helping run the guesthouse (think of a restaurant meets Bed & Breakfast), and doing bar ministry at night by forming relationships with women in the sex trafficking industry to help connect them with our ministry and eventually get them out of that industry (our hosts have a contact coming in January that is going to have a safe house for these women to live in and allow these women to work at a safer job to provide them with a living).
~Pray for my new team to get to know each other well, love one another well, and serve together well for the next 3-4 months of the World Race!
