Happy Mother’s Day to all the lovely and wonderful mothers out there!! Normally I try not to post blogs on major holidays, unless the holiday is relevant to something I feel led to share in a blog, but since there is a time constraint involved with this blog, tomorrow would be too late to post it. Thank you to everyone who has blessed me with support, whether prayerfully, financially, or words of encouragement! I am so grateful for all of you! If you haven’t subscribed to my blog yet and would like to, please click the orange “Subscribe for Updates” button on the upper left side of this page below my name and enter your email address. This is anonymous and I will not know who subscribed, I will just see the number of how many subscribed and you will get email updates whenever I update my blog. Please read below about sending my squadmates!!

I know most of my other blogs have been about my fundraising goals and about what God has been teaching me before I get on the field, but I wanted to do something different for this blog. Our squad, Route 3 of August 2016, which has been recently named K-squad 2016, is made up of Christians from all over the United States who have been accepted to serve in the same countries together, split up into smaller teams to reach more ministries and sent to different cities, towns, and villages in these countries. Together we will be going to Cote d’Ivoire, Ghana, Burkina Faso, India, Nepal, Cambodia, Thailand, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize to serve others and share God’s love with the nations in tangible ways. We have a Facebook page and a group chat over which I have grown very close to many of these individuals since I have gotten accepted in October.

We laugh together, we pray for one another, we share in the good moments and the bad in our lives. We have skyped, been in google-hangouts (a form of video-chatting), texted in our group chat, and messaged on our Facebook page. We have even shared mini introduction videos as part of our first squad wars challenge. I feel very close to many of these people and consider them part of my Christian family already, despite the fact that we haven’t met in person yet and won’t meet until Training Camp.

But did you know?

That there is a chance I might not get to meet some of these lovely people who have become like family to me over the past 7 months?? We each have individual support goals to make in order to get to different parts of our World Race mission trip. The first goal is to have $5,000 in our individual accounts by May 13th in order to be able to go to Training Camp in June and receive the necessary training we need to get an idea of what to expect for life in the field. I have made my first support goal early and I’m now working on my second support goal of $10,000. Praise the Lord for His awesome provision and for everyone who has helped me to reach this first goal!!

However…

Several of my squadmates have not met this first goal yet and are in danger of not being able to go to Training Camp!

Would you prayerfully consider supporting one of my squadmates to help him or her reach their first goal of $5,000 by May 13th? If you would like to do this (bless your heart!), the last day to make online donations for my squadmates is May 10th since it takes up to 2-4 days for online support to show up in our accounts.

I am only going to highlight a few of my squadmates on here that I’ve personally gotten to know well since there are so many of us, but if you feel led to look up more World Racers in need, you can click on the blue “Meet my squad!” button on the top left of this page and click on others’ blogs to learn more about them and their stories.

Rebecca Rinaldi is a squadmate and friend who joined our squad recently. Rebecca was recently pushed out of her parents’ home, but she continued to listen to God’s call on her life to pursue the World Race. She also recently lost her job, which has led her to a season of total dependency on the Lord. Despite her current circumstances, she has remained joyful and continues to encourage others with her incredible faith! If you would like to learn more about her, pray for her, or donate towards her first goal, please check out her blog at: rebeccarinaldi.theworldrace.org

Sarah Perkinson is a squadmate and friend who joined our squad in October. Sarah is awesome at creating graphics for our group when we think of a new fundraising idea, having a firm faith in God, and being an overall sweet friend! Sarah has a calling and passion for women to find fulfillment and worth in Jesus. If you would like to learn more about her, pray for her, or donate towards her first goal, please check out her blog at: sarahperkinson.theworldrace.org

Kimberly Matthews is a squadmate and friend who joined our squad in September. Kimberly has been to the Domican Republic twice on mission trips, but has now felt called to something bigger. Kimberly especially loves teaching children about Jesus! If you would like to learn more about her, pray for her, or donate towards her first goal, please check out her blog at: kimberlymatthews.theworldrace.org

Tyer Scott Ward is a squadmate and friend who was the most recent to join our squad. Tyler was planning on opening a non-profit organization to work with the homeless near him, but instead God called him to the World Race instead to prepare his heart for this ministry! We seriously need more male missionaries because our squad is about 90% women! If you would like to learn more about him, pray for him, or donate towards his first goal, please check out his blog at: tylerward.theworldrace.org

Some of my squadmates ran out of time to tell me something cool about themselves and how God has called them on the World Race, but their blogs are still worth checking out nevertheless!

Colleen Smith is a squadmate and friend who joined our squad around the same time I did, but she hasn’t met her first goal yet. If you would like to learn more about her, pray for her, or donate towards her first goal, please check out her blog at: colleensmith.theworldrace.org

Natalie Staniewicz is a squadmate and friend who joined our squad around the same time I did, but she hasn’t met her first goal yet. If you would like to learn more about her, pray for her, or donate towards her first goal, please check out her blog at: nataliestaniewicz.theworldrace.org

Thank you to everyone who is considering supporting, praying for, or reading my squadmates’ blogs to learn more about them! I know the Lord will bless you abundantly for your generosity!

If you feel led to support me instead, you can click on the orange “Donate!” button on the top right of my blog. My personal goal is to make it to $10,000 before or by the end of May. With the recent blessings of donations I’ve received, I’m only $587 away from meeting this goal! Praise the Lord! Today also marks exactly one month before our first day at Training Camp in Georgia. It’s getting so close!! Praise be to God for the blessings I have received already!
