Wrapping up the end of Month 4 of the World Race and beginning Month 5, I just wanted to post a few last fun blogs I wrote in India. This is the first of these, which are some of my honest thoughts about 10 things I didn’t know I’d love on the Race and 10 things I didn’t know I’d hate (or dislike) on the Race. There are so many beautiful, growth-bringing, funny, or sometimes unpleasant stories that go with each of these things. But to keep it short, I just explained a few of them. If you would like the whole story, email me or Facebook message me!

10 Things I Didn’t Know I’d Love on the World Race:

1. Hot tea in Asia.
2. Rooftops in Nepal.
3. Cities surrounded by mountains.
4. Heights when the views are of nature.
5. Getting to hold chicks that are dyed different colors in India.
6. Playing card games with my team.
7. Community during all-squad month.
8. Riding a moto in India (Don’t worry, I wasn’t driving it!)
9. Making videos about my experiences in each country (even though they get posted months later).
10. Finding people’s stories to tell on the Race.

10 Things I Didn’t Know I’d Hate (or Dislike) on the World Race:

1. Roosters waking me up in Ghana.
2. Dog fights waking me up in Nepal.
3. Mosquitos attacking me in India.
4. Lack of schedules in Cote d’Ivoire.
5. Too many schedules in Ghana.
6. Two weeks of no wifi in Cote d’Ivoire (we had just left the United States and had no way of telling our family, friends, and supporters, that we had arrived safely).
7. Random, unidentified red bumps on my feet in India. (We have decided they’re either chiggers, I’m allergic to the dust mites especially in India, or they’re mosquito and ant bites…most likely a combination of those. Don’t worry, they’ve healed now!)
8. Being overfed in India.
9. People spitting on the side of the road in Nepal and India.
10. Missing out on people’s lives back in America!
