COMMUNE
These past two weeks I’ve gotten to experience community outside of my normal. In the days where community looks like a feeding and leading children in songs together or our team time every night, I get to see that I’m participating in a family that is greater than genetics but all children of one Father. Part of one family, one community. The staff here at the Lighthouse prepare our meals everyday for us, I get to taste and see just how good He is within every meal I share with my team. A team that is going outside of their comfort zones, a team that is fighting for unity, and uplifts when we are spiritually, emotionally or physically struggling. I’ve gotten to be loved on in prayer and by their listening ears. Here’s to sitting at His table and enjoying the feast together.
Fun fact: I’ve never enjoyed going to sleepovers if I’m being honest, and being here in a house of 15 girls feels like a very long sleepover, it’s something I’m adjusting to.

MINISTRY
We assist in feedings and a values class for children Monday-Friday at different local schools and communities around us. A team of us will go in the morning and others in the afternoon. As the children hand over their bowls or cups to be fed, their smiles and laughs are so contagious and comforting. These children of His each carry something that reflect His loving heart and they don’t even know it. We get to lead a ECCDC bible class for young children here at The Lighthouse which consist of songs, a teaching and games. A small portion of our team have gotten to partake in Women’s prison ministry. Our current project is renewing the room for AWANA (Children’s ministry) on Saturdays. It’s currently being cleaned, repainted and receiving a new name soon.
Thank you for reading and I’d ask that you be in prayer for this ministry and team.
