What to say? I have been meaning to right a blog for a few days now and I am trying to figure out the best story I can tell you of how my trip has gone. I would like to begin by apologizing that I have been unable to post any pictures from my journeys. I have been learning a bunch of lessons on dependence towards God because i have been greatly tested in my walk with Him. I had my computer stolen in Haiti as most of you all remember. More recently I broke my Kindle that I had bought for the trip and finally just last week I dropped my IPhone into the bottom of a boat that had salt water in it. It is still unclear whether I lost this device it does not look good though. Why am I telling you all this God has really been putting in me a desire to seek Him first what does that look like practically I have been prioritizing my walk with the Lord in that I lean on Him more for my daily pick ups. God is So Good To ME!!! i have been so blessed to play a small part in His crazy huge plan He has for the world. To know that He is using me to make an impact through out the world is such a huge blessing.
So let me tell you a little bit about our ministry this month. We are working with two young pastors about our age in helping them to build their church community here we lead both Sunday service, we also travel to two different villages on Wednesdays and Fridays, and teach English class at the church four days a week for about an hour. In my English classes i am teaching three younger children between the ages of 12-14 they are very knowledgeable in English and attend the church every Sunday. Please be in prayer for their hearts their names are: Mengheng, Whaheng, Inglay that they will seek after the Lord in all that they do. I can't wait to continue ministering to them. The two villages we go to are very poor areas "Rock" foundation are also working with these villages in order to help them build house after being displaced from the city during Ploy Pot reign and Genocide that happened here. We minister to the kids with bible stories and the adults with small bible studies. Two Sundays ago after just arriving i had the opportunity to deliver my first full sermon it was out of 2 Timothy 2:1-13. God gave me the message to preach and I had been preparing it for a while. What an awesome experience to have the Holy Spirit speaking through me in that way and I eagerly await another opportunity to give another sermon. Please pray for good health we had a small incident with the water here and a few people got sick for a couple of days as well as safety. I had a drunk guy come and give me a slap on the back and I turned around and he left me and one of the contacts a girl I was walking with alone after that. No damage to me other then he hit me where I had just been sunburned the day before. 🙂 So please pray for continued safety!
