For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.
(John 3:17 ESV)
As it is approaching Resurrection Sunday I would like to address something that is very close to my heart and that is abortion as you know from reading my bio or just hanging out with me I have a heart for all the mothers who are making that decision and all the doctors and nurses that are performing this legal murder. But as my heart begins to harden towards this scripture and as I spend time around these doctors and nurses and parents, boyfriends, husbands, and other friends who tell the women they are doing the right thing and keep them purposely out of our reach. As we try to show them God's Love through gifts and means to help provide for the baby.
I have to remind myself of the scripture and understand that they do not know the same God that I do and that their acts are only what is best for them. As I think deeper about it, they probably find our group to be very strange what are these people doing out here? Using their time holding signs and on their knees, bowing their heads? This is how I know that we are making a difference in the lives of the people we come in contact with even if we don't say a word to them.
I have had many people approach me after seeing the signs that we hold and say that what we as a group are doing is changing their life and the lives of people they care about. But it is not us that are performing the change in their hearts!!! Let me say that again in case you read over that statement to quickly "It is not us that are changing these people's hearts." It is the almighty God that we are praying to, the one that we are on our knees lifting up our desire for Him to change these hearts to. That God and I know that he is alive as we celebrate this weekend because he is changing lives and I get to be a small part of that.
Thanks for reading please pray for the people that will be receiving an abortion tomorrow and that the teams we have out their will be able to save a live tomorrow and that the doctors and nurses that see us as they drive into work will know that they also have other options.
