"Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing". -James 1:2-4
The words of this passage rings true in every believers life. Has not all of us gone through trials that tested our faith and we have come out a stronger man or woman because of it. We should not flee from these trials but embrace them for our LORD uses them to bring us closer to perfection.
As I am currently reading a book by John Piper called "Let the Nations Be Glad" a book about how to approach the mission field I have found myself in the chapter about persecution as you know there are many believers who have been persecuted for their faith. As I personally prepare for this trip I have accepted the fact that I will be tested, for the strengthening of my faith but I know that as I come through that testing that I will draw more fully to Him
Praise be to Our God for strengthening me through trials. The things of this world are fragile and short lived but you LORD are eternal. Spend time dwelling on eternal things!!!!
