After a tuk tuk, a bus, another bus, another bus, a plane, 24 hours in the airport, another plane, a layover, another plane, and a van- and many days later, I am safely and happily in Whit Sunday Australia, Mate!

Okay, wait…back up a little and let me tell you about my last 2ish weeks. Leaving Cambodia was difficult because it was just so nice to be with such sweet and accepting people. BUT, we left and went from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap to the Prum Bayon hotel. Debrief is a time every couple of months that we get to group up with the whole squad and just kind of refocus. During debrief we got the chance to visit one of the wonders of the world…Angkor Wat. After about 4 days there we left and now we are in Whit Sunday!

The first morning we were here…after a 4 days of travel, might I add….we were gladly awakend to a kookaburra making a HUGE racket outside our window. I thought it was a monkey. No monkeys in Australia haha. It’s a bird. Look up the kookaburra call on youtube…then you’ll understand haha.

First of all, everything in Australia costs SO much money. The dollars are the same but it’s just like 10 bucks for a burger meal and McDonalds. Like 4 bucks for a candy bar or 20 oz Sprite. And around 2.50 for one of those little sandwich bags of chips. God’s teaching me how to save my money this month 😉

God’s been doing great things through us this month. So far this week we’ve done gardening/manual labor, given testimonies at church, done spring cleaning, scrubbed walls and bathrooms, done skits at a school, given testimonies for a youth group, prayer walked, worshipped on the beach complete with guitar violin didgeridoo and recorder, and had prayer for many hours for God to have his will.

Can’t wait to see what else is in store for the month! I’m in AUSTRALIA!!!! 🙂
