So, I realized after about a day of traveling that I probably packed too much. Note to self: a 47 lb. backpack, 20 something lb. bookbag, and a big purse is a lot for one girl to carry through airports and bus stations all around the world. Oh well, I’m sure I’ll get rid of some stuff and buy some really great things from all these incredible countries I’ll be traveling to!
I was talking to some people on my squad on the bus ride here to Phuket. I always remember growing up and having missionaries come talk to us about other countries and how the get to tell those people about Jesus. While we were talking, I came to the realization that now I get the chance to be the missionary. That’s what we are. These 42 people and I get the privilege for this season of our lives to be full-time missionaries for Christ’s cause. Pretty incredible if you ask me!
We had a small commissioning service here at SHE Ministries. The Holy Spirit is in no doubt covering this squad. The Lord has brought so many brave, smart, and selfless people here to the World Race. I’m thankful for the words of life that they speak into me daily. During commissioning, a few people came up to me and made a point to encourage me in being a courageous woman for God. Funny how God does that isn’t it? How He uses others to point out things in yourself that you never would have even thought of.
I have 3 personal goals for this years race:
1. Get over my picky eating
2. Learn to play the guitar
3. Become as selfless as I possibly can
Obviously there is a LONG way to go on each of those things…But, God has so much planned for this life that He gave me and gave you. I can’t wait to be a woman of preference, where I prefer others over myself. 🙂
Now for a few fun pictures 🙂
