I’m currently in Phuket, Thailand.
14 hour flight from LA to Tai Pei, Taiwan+3 hour flight from Tai Pei to Bangkok, Thailand+1 hour bus ride on the back of a truck to the real “bus station”+14 hour bus ride from Bangkok to Phuket, Thailand. Needless to say, my back is sore.
We slept in a BED which was a great surprise! Just to lay down flat for a night was amazing! My team is actually going to be staying here in Phuket for this whole month. I am our team’s finance person so today we have been training for that.
It’s crazy to think that I’m sitting in Thailand. We walked around the streets close to here and bought food at the street venders. We even got to pet a monkey! So much has happened it feels like in the last 5 days! Food here is crazy cheap. We pay about 3 dollars for a full meal. Although a meal mostly consists of rice and chicken or noodles. The fruit is delicious and fresh!
The rest of our squad mates are coming in sometime tonight so it’ll be great to have our whole squad together. I’m excited to see what this next month holds in store for us! I know that we will be working in the red light district this month a lot. I’m not too sure what this entails so I’ll blog again soon when I find out 🙂
