Know how you seem to learn the most in the valleys? How when you are faced with struggle and adversity that you (hopefully) draw closer to God? I started to let myself believe that I needed to struggle constantly to be nearer to Him.
Fortunately, that’s false.
Yes, you tend to draw nearer in the valleys, but that’s because you reach the end of human capacity and you realize you NEED Jesus. I’m learning to come to Him first and not do what I can then ask for help. I need Jesus all the time. Inviting Him into my day, learning to be in constant conversation and killing the formality I grew up learning about.
