My heart has always been to try and make everything around me better than it was, and to make a positive impact on each person I meet. Throughout my high school career, My family and I have had the chance to open my doors to two very close friends of mine. During the time that they each lived with me, it opened my eyes to the different lives that other people live and how sometimes I may take for granted what God has blessed me with. I have always been eager to be help out in anyway I can, because I feel as a Christian and God follower that is my purpose. My drive to make an impact and the experiences along the way have sparked a fire in me to want to go abroad and be apart of something even bigger than what I have here in my small hometown.

After walking away untouched from what should have been a fatal car accident in 2016, I was emotionally distraught for quite some time. Often I would find myself asking a specific question, “why am I still here?”. It was until a couple months later that I found my calling. I discovered The World Race after seeing a social media post of a Racer on their Gap Year trip, it was then that I knew that mission work was my calling. With this year being my senior year of high school, I am now finally able to pursue the plan that God has set out for me.

With that, I am extremely excited to announce that I have been accepted into The World Race Gap Year Program! In September of 2019, I will be leaving for 9 months, spending 3 months in each of these countries: Costa Rica, Cambodia, and Swaziland. I am very thrilled to continue to grow my relationship with God, as well as hopefully changing the lives of many others. This new adventure will be very eye opening and I can’t wait to get started. I thank you for making time to read this and encourage you to join me on my fantastic adventure whether that be through donations or prayer.
