Im a little slow in the blogging stuff but here are just a few thoughts from training camp.

It was very obvious that the Holy Spirit had created a unique atmosphere for us to grow in this past week.  Going it to the week I was ready for a week filed with information and hands on training to prepare us for a year of missions work.  However, God and the staff had different plans and all of my expectations were immediately tossed aside.  What I thought was going to be a week of mental and physical preparation, turned into spiritual preparation.  I won’t go into too much detail for the sake of future racers, but it was amazing to witness walls being torn down not only in my life, but in the lives of others as well.  When this happened there was an unexplainable flow of love and passion in that camp.    Just in my quiet time alone there was a new level of growth and intimacy with God, that is hard to put into words.  I have always been told that in order to grow one must step out of his or her comfort zone.  I am not sure if there was a comfort zone at training camp.

Going into the week I was expecting to meet some amazing people and to begin friendships with my new family.  At least I got one thing right.  The Lord blessed me with an awesome squad and team, as well as some great trainers and leaders.  I don't know about you guys but I can't wait until September.
