Our last Saturday in Romania we decided to rent a car and go look for caves. Saturdays were our days off this month so we figured since this was the last one we might explore the country a bit. The people at Felix family had told us of these caves, called the Bear Caves. Apparently a long time ago some bears were hibernating in this cave, rocks fell over the entrance and one can now visit their fossils. We thought that we would follow our GPS and it would take us there with no problems. Bahahahahaha! First of all, the GPS was in Romanian, every road sign was in Romanian, and when we missed a turn, it re-routed anywhere form 5 to 20 km for our next turn. I’m not too sure that the GPS was working correctly, but we were blessed to see the Romanian countryside and have some great bonding time.

Nice background of Yosemite on a sign in the mountains of Romania.

We eventually did find some caves. But unfortunately we, being the bright young people that we are, didn’t bring a headlamp or a flashlight. Cave exploration was minimal but we got to see some amazing sights… and Burton stuck his hand in a pile of bat poop. Bahahahahaha!
