Hard to believe I fly out to India in a matter of only a few days. The time has gone by, and training camp feels like forever ago. In only a few days I will be in India, where my journey begins.
I have not posted in quite a while, so let me bring you up to date on things.
I am fully funded for the race, due to the blessings of God upon my family.
I have made it through the struggle of post-training camp, as the attacks from Satan were real, and yet here I, by the grace of God, am still here.
I have touched on old and new friendships since my return, and have enjoyed the fellowship with all I have encountered along the way.
I have had the doubts of The Worldrace since returning, as I talk with God and listen to make sure this is the right path. It is.
Of course these are all kind of vague, but to be honest, life has been a blessing throughout the summer, and I look forward to pursuing my relationship with the Lord and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ our Saviour to the nations far and near. The small bits of wisdom I have had given to me along the way will not go to waste, as I fully intend to use it whilst on and off the field.
Truly I have seen how good God really is through the vibrance of the church, as its people support, pray, and talk with me about this coming journey. Of course, this includes my squad and team, as they have been quite the support and shoulder to lean on in these times, as they will come furthermore.
To be honest, I have very few butterflies or nerves about the upcoming journey. Maybe once I land in the country I will experience the ‘oh-my-what-have-I-done’ feeling, but for now I am truly at peace with what I am doing, as things are swell, family and friends, and I look forward to all the joys and hardships the Worldrace may bring. I am excited to go out and expand the Kingdom as I allow myself to be controlled by the Holy Spirit through my mission. As always, prayers are greatly needed and appreciated, and the comments on my blog always reminds me that I am impacting at least one person with my words.
Many more posts to come once I touch ground in India, and so forth, but as for now I will prepare my self and keep true to The Word, to Christ, as I and my squad take on the world with the power of the Gospel and the changing grace of Jesus Christ.
God Bless, Garrett Stoecker
