Hey everyone!!! Well I definitely feel like I have lived an eventful 23 years up to this point so to catch everyone up I’ll touch on some of the highlights…
I moved to Greenville, NC when I was in 2nd grade and it’s where I’ve spent most of my life to this point. I love Greenville, the people are awesome, eastern NC barbecue is 2nd to none and ECU is the best school in the state…no offense! Seriously though, I feel extremely blessed to have grown up in Greenville. I grew up with two wonderful parents and I am the only child so we are a very close family. My dad retired from the Highway Patrol and my mom works for the State Bureau of Investigations so I never stood a chance when it came to getting in trouble growing up. I also have a very close group of friends that have been together since elementary school for some of us and I can’t thank God enough for putting each of them in my life.

Later on into high school and throughout college it was always a battle for me to go with the ways of the world or to follow God so I tried to do both. I joined a fraternity but also attended college life, I led the keg stands but I also led the youth group at my church on retreats, and the stories go on… As time grew and I started to mature (with setbacks) God really began challenging me that there was something more and something different that I wasn’t grasping. My relationship with Him started to grow inot something that it never was before and I started to “get” the fact that it wasn’t about me. Upon graduating I took a job as a financial advisor for small businesses in Raleigh, NC and God started making much clearer to me what was truly important in life. With a lot of prayer God guided me to the World Race…so here we are! Here are a few more interesting tidbits:

  • I love playing and watching sports…currently coaching a 10-11 yr old basketball team which is the best test of patience EVER but they are awesome
  • I love one-liner jokes
  • I live with 3 other guys and pranks run rampant around our house
  • I love the outdoors and have a very adventurous spirit
  • We got the opportunity to play “corn hole” for an afternoon with dane cook a few months ago
  • We won a contest to host a rapper at our house last month while he was performing in Raleigh, NC
  • I once semi-accidently slapped Ric Flair in the chest and yelled WOOOO! at club suite in Charlotte, NC

Many stories to come but that’s pretty much me in a nutshell!
