I cannot believe I’m finishing up my 3rd month of the World Race in Malawi. Time has gone by quickly. Unfortunately, my next deadline is right around the corner (October 1) and I still need to raise $2550. God has been so gracious and is opening my eyes to His abundant love and is showing me so much that I’m not ready to give up and go home yet. I ask that you please continue to support me so that I may continue on this journey.
Life in Malawi is not easy and is like going back into the Stone Age. The country is dirt poor but their love for God is strong and powerful. They have very little, but so much more in terms of peace, joy and warm and friendly hearts. The children here just run around outside all day and play in the dirt, in their torn clothes. God brought us here to share Hope and Love with these people.
We are currently working with preschool called Life Child 5 days a week. We lead classes, prepare meals, and are building a playground for the preschool. Additionally, we have done prayer walks, prayed over people at the hospital courtyard, played soccer with the locals, and lead bible study with young Malawian guys that work for Life Child.
This month we are staying in preschool that accommodates 50 children and also serves as a church. The pace in Malawi is slow, but we stay busy with our ministry. It gets dark at 6 o’clock, therefore our days start very early. There is no plumbing or running water inside the church so we take bucket showers. Some days we cook over fire because electricity goes out every day and at times there is no water for days.
Zambia is our next destination country. I cannot wait to go there at the end of this month and see what God has in store for me there. What lessons and experiences He wants me to learn. Please keep me in your prayers and sponsor me if you can so that I can continue on this mission trip and continue to learn to be a disciple. If 5 people a day give $51 between now and my deadline, I will reach my goal. Your support would mean a great deal to me.
Have a blessed day!
Galina
