well, i’m sure you’re all here wondering what could possibly compel me to live out of a backpack for 11 whole months in these rando countries.
no wifi? cold showers? sleeping on the ground? huge spiders and bugs i’ve never even thought of living in the same quarters as me?!
well, i guess maybe that sounds a little crazy. but to me, that sounds like my kind of party. well, sort of.
the world race is something that has been on my heart for years. since 11th grade. 2015. its been a long time coming! but now i finally feel the release to start on this adventure.
at first, learning of the world race, of course i was apprehensive. 11 months of this? i don’t know about that…but the Lord kept working on me. and soon enough, i knew it was His next step for me.
“and He [Jesus] said to them ‘Go, into all the earth and proclaim the good news to the whole creation.'”
M A R K 1 6 : 1 5
this verse has been imprinted on my soul from the moment i read it. i even got it tatted on my foot, lols. it just hit somewhere deep, and i’ve just known that THAT is what i’m meant to get behind and devote my life to. whatever that may look like.
this trip may seem scary, radical and out of the ordinary – but that’s just exactly what i believe jesus has called us to. to live a life out of the ordinary – whatever that may look like for you. the Lord will take your passions and strengths and mold a life so beautifully custom made to serve His kingdom while simultaneously lighting up your soul in supernatural ways.
and this is what i believe is mine.
i’ll be going to 11 countries : costa rica, panama, ecuador, peru, chile, japan, china, vietnam, cambodia, malaysia, and indonesia.
and i’ll be leaving on this super rad adventure in october of THIS YEAR which is wild!!!
