For this weeks blog, I decided to do things a little differently. Since school has started our schedules have changed quite a bit. I thought it would be an awesome opportunity to hear about my teammates highlights this week!
My Highlights of this week were finding the chicken laying another egg in our bathroom, sweet hugs from the girls at the school, and taking a tuk tuk into town with Miriam, Carley, and Zoe to make a grocery run for the team! Jamming out to Jason Derulo with our driver will forever be one of my favorite memories.
Lauren: playing with the kids after school, passing around the baby, and riding the tuk tuks to town
Ivey: playing with the kids after school and learning new spanish words from them
Erin Brown: Slumber parties in our room and just growing closer as a team
Jordan: Recess with the kids and letting the little girls play with my hair and them telling me I had princess hair
Carley: Teaching english, swimming in the lake, hearing testimonies, living here in general, and having a sleepover with Zoe and waking up in the middle of the night thinking the power was out just to find out the fans had just gotten unplugged.
Dalice: Swimming, spending time with the team, and our walk to the convenience store together
Sarah: Ky getting an egg cracked on her head, going to the cafe, getting my nails done by the little girls, bonding with the team in the hammocks, and listening to Erin lead worship in Spanish
Bailey: My talk with Adrian and Chloe and just learning about each others stories
Chloe: Going to town, riding in the tuk tuks, and talking with Adrian and Bailey about Adrian’s calling to work at Cicrin
Emily: organizing the library at the school and just an overall feeling of accomplishment
Erin Lamb: Teaching english in the school
Miriam: riding the tuk tuks into town and holding the baby at the school
Zoe: hanging out with kids after school and teaching english with Carley
Kris: One on ones with the team
Ky: playing what are the odds with Kris and Kris losing
