“Where we love is home – home that our feet may leave, but not our hearts.” –Oliver Wendell Holmes, Sr.

Sometimes it just hits me..

I’m home.

For the past year, the idea of home for us racers has been such a fluid concept. I have called everything from a tent in the desert to a sleeping bag on the floor of a church to a tent on the top bunk in a hut in Africa to a hostel bed, home. Even now, I am living in a new state, a new house…and call it home.

But what I’ve realized is that home is not so much the structure you live in, but the people there who hold your heart. And most importantly, its where the Father is.

Throughout my travels and and now being back in the states, I have often felt like I am at home anywhere and nowhere. But I think that God has a purpose in that. He has my heart in many places.

But most of all, He has my heart in His hands. And that actually means that I can find a home wherever I am when I am purposeful in drawing near to Him. Wherever His presence is, I am home.

I dont know how much longer I will be here in the US. But I know that wherever I am and whenever the Lord takes me elsewhere, I will be able to find a home there. Because His presence is with me. Where the Father is, there is home.

Thank you so much–to all my incredible supporters. Thank you for supporting me throughout my journey, supporting me in prayer, sending kind words, financial support for me to reach deadlines, and reading my blog. I have learned A LOT much about living in community these past 11 months, and I know that my community (YOU) who have been supporting me, have had an enormous impact on my time on the World Race. I honestly could not have made it all the way through without your prayers, your loving encouragement, and your donations. You were vital to my success on the Race.

I love you all and am so thankful that each of you are all in my life. I would love to share stories about my time on the World Race as well as hear stories about your past year! So, feel free to shoot me an e-mail or give me a call. East Coast-ers, I’m looking forward to heading your way soon!

May God pour out IMMENSE blessings over all of you!

Sorry, for the delay in posts–there has been a lot to process. BUT stay tuned for blogs on my process of re-entry as well as a blog about what’s next!
