$19,200……that’s the number that has run through my brain everyday since September. $19,200 is the number it takes to go and serve people across Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe. To be completely transparent, there are multiple times a week where this number feels completely overwhelming, it seems so big and I think to myself how is it possible to save/raise more money than I’ve seen in my life.

In the beginning I thought I could do it 80% by myself with 20% help, I quickly realized 1. that’s stupid and 2. It’s so much more than “just fundraising”, it’s about the community and support that is formed around and within fundraising. I can’t do this without a community of supporters that will be pushing me spiritually and financially. I’m not going on the World Race for my own self gratification. I’m going because the Lord’s heart burns for the nations, and my heart burns for Jesus and for what His heart burns for. To see nations and people groups understand how immense His love for them is, to know the plans for the individuals and for the nations as a whole.

Something I wanted to share that has really changed my view on ministry came from something one of my Pastors said. I’m the Administrative Assistant at my church and there are times where I can get so busy making sure things are taken care of for events and Sunday morning and it feels like I hadn’t done any “ministry”. Pastor Sam walked into the church one morning and told me that everything I do is ministry because each thing is moving an obstacle out of the way for people to be ministered to and for them to encounter Jesus and the Lord counts me making sure there’s enough guest bags ready for Sunday morning or manning an event sign up table the same as praying for someone in service, because if there wasn’t, there would be a hole and an obstacle that may hinder someone from fully being present in service.

Being on this side of the fundraising fence I’ve truly been able to understand that when people say $10 or $20 makes a difference….it does, no matter what you can give, the Lord counts it all the same. With whatever you can give and everything that the Lord does through my life over the 11 months is counted towards you in Heaven as well, because you’re apart of it we’re all on the same team. #teamJesus (;

I’d like to make you a promise, whether you support me financially or in prayer. I promise to take you along, to send you updates, to be transparent and raw with what God is doing around the globe and to make it a priority.

As of right now due to my generous supporters that $19,200 had tuned to $16,868.

I’m $2,600 away from my first goal of $5,000 if you’d like to join my support team hit the orange “Donate” button.
