I write to you with a thankful heart. You are receiving this because in the last 18 months of doing missions for the Lord, you have shown financial and prayerful support to me. As I traveled around the world, if it would not have been without your help that I would have been able to reach forgotten people throughout the slums of Central America, those in bondage in SE Asia, and the orphans of Africa.
I am currently serving out of the long-term base with AIM in Guatemala. This has been a season of stripping and equipping as the Lord prepares me for greater things to be done in the future.
The Lord has spoken that part of my future is to open up a long-term missions base in Cuba, the country of my parents and family. As that door opens, The Lord has shown me how my time in Guatemala ties together with that future.
Here at the Guatemala base, we have a focus on a fatherless generation. There are close to 370,000 documented orphans and growing. There is no legal adoption in Guatemala. At age 18, when they are of age and must leave, they face instant homelessness, poverty, and the threat of being left again. Many Christian organizations are taking in more children than they are staffed to take care of them.
The vision the Lord has given our base is to train and disciple these children to send them out to the nations! We believe these children are not orphans; they are sons and daughters of our God (they have a name). And though they cannot be adopted legally, spiritually we are preparing to adopt these children, to become their fathers and mothers. Children who have been shunned by their natural parents are now being recovered by their Heavenly one.
We have the people in place, ready to continue the work the Lord has started, but this is where you come in. I need a support team to help send me to do the work the Lord has set before me. This is a partnership. We are all called to do missions. I have responded to the call of being a sent one, now is your chance to respond to the call of being a sender.
My goal is to raise $2,000 a month as I live here in Guatemala. The money is used for costs of living at the base (rent, food, living expenses, etc), health insurance, and taxes. While many of my supporters gave a one-time donation, I’d like to ask you to pray about committing to support me on a monthly basis. Any donation helps, whether $20, $50, $100, $250 is helping to carry the vision the Lord has for his children here in Guatemala. Please prayerfully consider joining my support team and being a part of the work of the Lord that will impact the world.
