“So how can I be a better brother to you?”
“I don’t even know what it looks like to have a brother.”
This has been my exchange with many of the women on the team.
Since joining G Squad, God has been softening my heart towards women. This helps since our squad is 83% women.
This past week, I’ve been able to hear many of the G Squad ladies testimonies and the common theme with all of them is the hurt brought on by men in their lives that have led to low self-esteem, self-worth, and scars that have led to not being able to trust men today.
I’ve heard stories of date rape, verbal abuse, and many other perverse actions done to these women. Each story breaks my heart more and more. I would estimate 90%+ of the women have had issues with men that have scarred them emotionally for years.
While God is in the process of healing them, the men on the team have made a commitment to help restore their value as daughters of the living God, to view them and honor them the same way our Heavenly Father does.
Real men fight for women. Real men honor women. Real men love women. Real men sacrifice for women. Real men are husbands to women. Real men share in parenthood with women.
Where are the real men in this world?
I heard a pastor say once there are too many boys in men’s bodies. I would like to speak life into you men reading this. STEP UP!
God has a great call for the men of this world; it is time to STEP UP to manhood.
Women are not sexual objects, housemaids, or punching bags; they are beloved daughters of the living God. It is time to start treating them as such.
