(Lead speaker: "Let the Holy Spirit come down on you in this moment")
Here I am praying for God to reveal a supernatural gift to me. I always read about spiritual gifts and mocked people who would fall on the floor with a touch. That couldnt be real could it? I mean the Spirit worked wonders in ancient times, but would He work today?
Mid-prayer, I started feeling a tingling sensation and heat rising and resting on my hands. Seriously felt like my hands were on fire (I even opened up my eyes to check if someone was passing a torch over them or something). Almost immediately after identifying what the feeling felt like, someone prayed over me saying, "Lord I can see the fire in this man's hands".
Wait what? How did he know that?
A few moments later a speaker stated that "If you are feeling something in your hands right now, you are to go and heal someone."
Wait What? How can I do that? Who would let ME heal them?
With head spinning in both confusion and amazment of the situation, I ask in prayer to God "is there someone with a bad back that I can heal? His response, "I dont want you to heal a bad back, I want to heal a disease."
Wait what?? There is no easing into this huh?
Me-"well who has a disease you want to heal?" As the words leave my mouth I look over and see me sister in the faith Kylee.
Kylee had something called Celiac disease that meant if she ate bread or soy her stomach what have horrible cramps. She hadn't been been able to eat bread without pain for years.
As I finished praying for her, I felt the Lord tell me "what He did for one, He would do for the other." He meant another teammate of mine Ellie who also had Celiac disease.
The session ends and I am now eating lunch with kylee and ellie, on the menu is a nice big piece of pita bread, someone with Celiac's worst nightmare. I could see the fear of what could happen be overcome by the faith of their healing as they munch on their pita breads. And then…. wait for it…. nothing happened! No pain, no cramps, no Celiac's!
Wait What? Did God just use me to heal these two daughters of His? Did he instill in me the gift of healing?
I think so! Holla!
I have seen the Lord heal diseases, deafness, irritating eye issues, and a generational jaw problem called TMJ.
These hands are on fire to heal the world! Glory to God!! 🙂
