I would just like to take this time to thank my Father for another day.
When I don’t know what to do, what to say, what to pray, where I’m gonna lay,
my head, at night,
when I’ve been traveling all day, tired of the flights, tired of the fight,
just gotta keep Him in my sights, let Him lead me to what is right.
Even when it isn’t quite,
what I had in mind, but you know I’ve come to find
that what He has is better than anything we could ever dream up,
anything we scheme up, our plans need to team-up,
make Your will mine, do it in your time,
bring peace to my mind, keep me from walking blind.
Pull me a little closer, take me a little deeper,
wake me up, OH, SLEEPER!!
Teach me to love the way You love, to put others above,
myself, and all my stuff, cause your love is enough,
leave my heart feeling stuffed and the enemy crushed,
shake off all this dirt and this rust, Jesus in you I trust.
I know I’ve strayed from you in past times, but I promise that the last was the last time,
Thank you for forgiving all my fast times, my present, future, and my past crimes.
Father, I thank you that you’re faithful even when my faith is weak,
that you’re there to pick me up, when I forget what it means to be meek.
God, I thank you that you are God no matter what,
that you still love us even when we’re slippin’ up,
and that’s why I’m running as fast as I can, with no fear of trippin’ up,
cause I know even if I fall, you’ll be there to pick me up,
when I’m down you lift me up.
Now it’s time for me to return the favor, tell them all about my faithful savior,
tell the world of all your favor, from now on, your love I’ll savor.
Thanks again for loving me, picking up and hugging me,
now here I am, I’m asking please, tell me what you want from me.
Your request is my command, cause now my life rests in Your hands.
