I would just like to take this time to thank each and every one of my supporters. Thank you all so much for supporting me on this trip. To say that it has been the trip of a lifetime would be an understatement. There are no perfectly grouped words to describe the things I have seen, went through, let go, and learned over this year. I can’t explain to you how many lives God has been able to use me to impact because of you. But I can tell you all that none of it would have been possible without the prayers and support of my family and friends back home. So THANK YOU!

Over the last 11 months I have done many things I never expected that I would have had the opportunity to do. I’ve seen God touch and change so many lives. I’ve lived in close (too close at times) community with the 6 other individuals on my team and sometimes the 50 other people on my entire squad. I’ve been able to see them grow into Godly men and women that the Lord has created them to be. I have had the opportunity to learn and glean from them. We have built churches together, prayed for each other, prayed for sick and hurt individuals we have encountered, we have rafted the nile river together, we ate foods we would never eat in America because we had no option of running down the street to McDonald’s, sometimes these foods consisted of bugs, we have no shame. We watched countless movies together, we got in arguments and apologized a lot, we have learned how easy it is to offend us when we haven’t seen a hot shower, a cheeseburger, a bed, air conditioner, wi-fi, or another white person in weeks, we’veand been have visited and been admitted to countless hospitals throughout the world, some of which I’m pretty sure printed their degrees off of the internet, we’ve watched sunsets and sunrises, we’ve traveled for countless hours at a time on airplanes, trains, buses, tuk-tuks, motos, by foot, truck, you name it. We have been blessed and been a blessing to many others, we’ve celebrated tons of birthdays, we’ve treasure hunted in tiny towns across the seas (hunting for golden thrift shop deals), we’ve spent COUNTLESS hours talking about the food we eat on Sundays back home and the food that we are going to eat when we get home, we have had talent shows and eating competitions, we’ve made videos and websites, we’ve watched a million wrestling videos of the rock and stone cold to relive not only ours but their glory days as well, the list goes on. Most of all, we have learned to have no expectations other than the expectation for God to show up. We have learned to trust God with all that we do, in every situation. Even if we are in a hospital where the “doctor” draws your blood 2-3 times per day for almost 2 weeks and diagnoses you with a different disease every day. In the worst of times, in the best of times, TRUST GOD. He always has and always will show up. It may not be when we expect, because God has a tendency not to be early, but he is NEVER late.

We were given the opportunity to experience these things because of all the great support we have had. So I say again, Thank you so much, and God bless you!

I am currently still $1250 away from being fully funded for the World Race. Would you consider helping me finish the race strong? If you would like to donate you can do so by clicking on the “Support Me!” tab in the upper left-hand corner of this page, underneath my picture. Thank you so much for all you do! Below is a video made by one of our squad leaders. (Scott Kwak) It is a look at what the first 8 months of the world race looked like. There will be an updated version of all 11 months at the end of the race, I’m assuming.
