I serve such an adventurous God.
Many times in my life it has been hard for me to understand the qualities of my Father, but now I have been able to really understand that my Abba is so adventurous and loving and safe.
During our 24 hours in Bangkok, there were so many moments when I couldn‘t get a smile off of my face. We started our adventure the moment we heard that we missed our bus home. We left our hostel around lunch time and just walked and ate tons of new foods. I had two things on my “have to get” food list: Pad Thai and Thai Tea. Let me tell you, I got enough Thai food yesterday! We were able to walk for hours and eat and hopefully burn all the calories we were eating while walking back and forth in Bangkok. Then, after eating, we went to a gorgeous where God really flexed his muscles for me. I love nature so much and so after seeing thousands of buildings, I got my fill of trees, rivers, birds and squirrels. We got to watch the gorgeous sunset in this park and then, a man shows up with a speaker and leads Zumba. Some people from my team participated in this *very entertaining* Zumba class (I should have to burn the calories but my excuse was that I was wearing jeans). Anyway, then Luis, one of our leaders, said That we should do tuk tuk races to the skyscrape part of Bangkok. Of course, we all said yes! During these tuk tuk races through busy city traffic (like NYC but worse), we screamed, counted down at stoplights, tried charades to make the drivers understand hat we NEEDED to win, locals staring at us like we were drunk, and being dropped off someplace that wasnt even our destination. Which led to walking (naturally) into random tall buildings and trying to get to the top floor. And then.. after walking awhile and trying to get to the top of buildings, we found a rooftop bar. And boy, my jaw dropped. God REALLY was flexing now. Bangkok and it’s vast skyline brought me so much peace and joy and awe. My Father brought my team through thousands of mini adventures on the way to the finale.
Thank you Lord for this adventure. I am in awe of who you are and the many adventures you have for me in the future. I forever want to say yes to tuk tuk races and being looked at weird because of the immense joy my Father gives me.
