Firebrand
Let me break this down. On the world race I am on a squad of 48 that travel to each country together, we are called “R Squad”. Within that we have 7 teams. Those 7 teams break up in the country and go to different mission sites. We live together, do ministry together and live as best as we can in community with each other. For the first 5 months the leaders and coaches put us into teams and then after 5 months our teams change. I would like to introduce this team of mine to friends and family!
We go by the name FIREBRAND

I’ll dedicate a paragraph each to my teammates:)
I’ll start with our fearless team leader, Amy. She is from the mother land U.K. and I honestly just enjoy listening to her voice and it’s a bonus that what she says is good for me to hear. She speaks with authority and grace. She is truly led by the Holy Spirit and loves spending quality time in prayer and worship with Jesus everyday without fail. She is a wealth of wisdom and knowledge and will tell you how it is no matter what. She is hilarious. She tries to imitate the American accent (she is surrounded by us) and honestly it’s kind of offensive. Just kidding, it just sounds ridiculous. We jokingly call her mother because she is our leader and cares so much for us, and also has to act like the responsible grown up on our team in most situations. This woman is truly blessed and I am truly blessed to have her as my leader, she inspires me and I am blessed to have her has my friend:). She is a source for everything on our team. I am reminded of discipline, wisdom, common sense, radiance and radical belief in God with her.
Todd: Born and raised in Orange County, California. He is on fire for God, you can literally hear him singing no matter what time of the day it is. God has blessed him musically and is using him to reach people through music and a good attitude in every situation. He is super smart and has a passion to help the persecuted church. If you know what Californians sound like, he sounds like that. He comes out with sarcasm only in the moments you wouldn’t expect. He’s an outdoors kind of guy, loves people, loves the Word, and loves serving the Lord. He is a source of a pat on the back for our team. I’m reminded of honesty, sincerity, knowledge and strength with Todd.
Jessica. Michigan. I like to give people context because she is all about Michigan, proud of her home and tigers team. You can’t be around her without cracking up at her adorableness, sassiness, humor and honesty. She has the biggest caring heart, when you are with her you know she cares. She gives fantastic hugs. She is super artistic and gifted. She lets Jesus love her and love through her. She is an example of trust and God given beauty. She is a source of movies and great ideas! I’m reminded of joy, love, integrity, honesty and hope with Jess.
Greg: South Carolina. Greg loves a challenge, he loves to be active, he loves basketball and “cutting up”. He will make anyone laugh and feel at home. He loves Jesus and his Word and gives it his all in ministry and whatever we are told to do. He is our teams source of laughter and jokes. I’m reminded of truth, dedication, honesty, knowledge and real joy with Greg.
Katie: Michigan. Another one, we hear a lot about how great Michigan is. She is our teams ‘most likely to get picked on’. She loves children, loves being there for people, she is strong in her faith, smart, vulnerable, loving, and loves shopping. She is our teams dress code monitor. Jesus is moving her heart closer to His and bringing others on that journey. She is our teams source of entertainment. She reminds me of integrity, wisdom, faith, love, and confidence.
C.J: I don’t know where he is from, he’s from a lot of places, right now let’s say Florida. C.J says things that come out of no where and makes you laugh. He, along with Todd, has been blessed to live and breath music, he will take his guitar everywhere. Music is his passion. He knows the Word, he’s intelligent, and loves athletics. C.J is our teams source of looking at the bigger picture, he is inquisitive. I’m reminded of grace, the heart of worship and love for Gods people in C.J.
Individually they are quite interesting. Put them together……….. we make a r-e-a-l-l-y interesting team.
