Hello everyone. So I couldn’t let Thanksgiving slip too far past without writing about what I am thankful for.

I spent this Thanksgiving in a slightly nontraditional way. I have been on a boat cruising from the Grand Turk Island to the Dominican Republic since last Monday and I just made it home about 1 am this morning.  For Thanksgiving dinner I had pasta and later that evening pizza. My family decided to celebrate on the cruise this year and I must say it was  a good time.

Some of you may be reading this and think, “Wait did she just say pasta and pizza for Thanksgiving dinner? Where is the Turkey and the stuffing?” First, I like neither of those things. My thanksgiving plate usually only has 3 items on it. Ham, mac & cheese, and sweet potatoes. Second, I will be expecting each of you reading this post to send me some left overs and a slice of Patti Labelle sweet potato pie.

I have so many things to be thankful for it seems almost impossible to figure out where to begin.

  1. I woke up this morning with all my mental and physical facilities in working order.
  2. I have the ability to choose God and repent.
  3. I have a family who loves and supports me even if we don’t see eye to eye on everything.
  4. I received my very first World Race donation of $50!!!!
  5. I have grace and mercy from God that I do not deserve.
  6. I have food in my stomach, a roof over my head, and the ability to support myself financially.
  7. Jesus took my punishment upon himself and I have the privilege to be made whole because of him.
  8. I have friends that would go to bat for me and who would have my back no matter what.
  9. I have the ability to be refined and shaped by my father in heaven into the best version of myself if only I allow him to work in my life.
  10. I think more than anything else I am grateful that when this world passes I will be able to live with The Most High and my entire spiritual family in peace and love.

Philippians 4:4Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!

Psalm 5:11But let all who take refuge in You be glad, Let them ever sing for joy; And may You shelter them, That those who love Your name may exult in You.

Deuteronomy 12:7There also you and your households shall eat before the LORD your God, and rejoice in all your undertakings in which the LORD your God has blessed you.
