Hello guys! So I had such an uplifting thing happen to me two days ago that I just had to share.

Background info: I lived in Germany for three months from Dec. 2014-Feb. 2015. I still love it and decided to continue learning the language. A friend of mine has been teaching me and he is an atheist. We have conversations every once in a while about God and respect each others opinion during them. At the end of October I went on a mission trip to Brazil and had such a great time with my brothers and sisters in Sao Paulo, Salvador and Brasilia.

Well my German friend is in Brazil currently and asked me if I knew anyone in Sao Paulo as he would be visiting the city. I gave him the information of a sister who in turn connected him with some brothers who allowed him to stay with them during his trip. On Tuesday night I received a message from him asking me to guess what he had done that night. I responded with, “I don’t know what did you do? I want to say you went to church but we both know that would never happen.”

His next words had me floored. He actually did go to church!!!!!! Words truly can not express the sheer happiness and amazement I felt at hearing that. I almost didn’t believe it for a moment. Of course I have faith and follow God no matter what, but in moments like that when you actually see God, even in the most subtle ways, it is such an awe inspiring moment.

Think about it. What are the chances that I went to Germany and afterwards still wanted to learn the language which sent me on a quest for language partners, which lead me to him, both of us having made plans far in advance to go to the same country without knowing, which lead me to have contacts to set him up with so that he could eventually be invited to church. Ya’ll I am literally tearing up just writing/thinking about that. Moment of truth: Funny thing is, at first I was a little on the fence about if I liked him and wanted to keep talking to him…hahaha.

I know he won’t see it this way, which is fine because I still love him anyway, but man what if God is really reaching out to him. Calling him home to him. And for me to have the privilege to be the one through whom he does is astounding. These are the moments that bring your faith to a whole new level.

I can’t wait to see how many new connections I make on the World Race and how God will use me and them to advance his kingdom in the future. Come on ya’ll get excited!!! hahahaha
