Why Me?
I want a normal life. I want to graduate college. I want to go on a mission trip once a year, on my time. I don’t want to be away from my family for an entire year. I don’t want to miss my little sister’s High School Graduation. I want to be there to celebrate all my friends and families birthdays. Why did God choose me? I’m not prepared. I need more time! How am I going to raise over $16,000?
Are you sure God?
Do you really want me to do this?
Yes! GO!
God doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the called. <—– I love this quote because I identify with it so much. By no means am I qualified to go serve Jesus for 11 months. I don’t have all the answers. I’m not a bible scholar. But I know that Christ will not let me fail. My only job is to reflect the light of Jesus. He will be with me every step of the way. During the uncomfortable, the stressful, the fun, the exciting, the lonely, the missing family, I will be able to lean on Christ. He will never leave me. I will point everything back to God. No matter what. In my triumphs and my failures.
I’m looking so forward to being on the race and experiencing God in unforgettable ways. I can’t wait to be the hands and feet of Jesus. To cuddle with orphans. To love the unlovable. To serve the least of these. This journey is going to change my life. I am so ready to start this transformation. I am not going to look back. I am going to run straight toward Christ with everything inside me.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. [Matthew 28:19]
This verse is proof that God has called me. And he has called you as well. Maybe not in the same way that he is calling me, but in your hometown, at work, school, wherever, God is calling you!
I hope that you will begin this journey with me. One huge way you can partner with me is being a prayer warrior. Pray for my squad as we all prepare to go on this journey in September. Pray that we focus on Christ, and our hearts are prepared. I also ask that you pray over our finances. Another way you can become involved is by financially supporting me. The support me tab is on the left hand side of this page. I ask that you prayerfully consider doing so.
Thank you so much! I love you all, and cant wait to share my experiences with you all!!
P.s. I am going on the World Race in September, route 3. This means that I will be traveling for 11 months to 11 different countries, doing all kinds of mission work. The countries I will be traveling to are:
Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
(Is this real life? ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!)
