This month in Cambodia we are partnered with an organization called Ezra. This ministry is amazing! It is run by two people with beautiful hearts to serve the Lord in every way possible. Ezra specifically is an English school that is run out of their house; which is also our house for the month. Some of the members of our teams teach at Ezra and the rest of us are dispersed throughout the city at other organizations. This month Team Hesed is with two other teams, Team Established in Love and Team M5:5. It has been a great month thus far.

My ministry this month is teaching/painting at a local buddhist international university. Myself and 5 others girls travel to this school every morning to love on children and teach them English with absolutely no qualification other than Jesus and the fact that we are foreign. I enjoy it, but also know that teaching is not in my future…hehe. My class is ages 3-5 years old. The babes…which I love. We read books, practice our alphabet, and color; it’s great. Sometimes I arrive to class and my teacher asks me to teach sports camp so we do a little of that as well. After teaching I head to the library to paint. I was asked to paint something that would inspire reading…it’s coming along. Pictures and a blog to come soon. Some of my others squad mates teach a second English class and others teach swim lessons in a “beautiful,” freezing, green pool. In the afternoons, my ministry is at the trauma hospital. We met a fabulous lady, Anne, who is from New Zealand. She runs the activity program at the hospital. Some days we help Anne makes homemade paper and cards that are sold to fund the program and other days we go into the wards and play games with the patients. The joy that a few simply board games can bring has amazed me.

Overall, Cambodia is great. Emotionally this month has been challenging and exhausting, however, I can see the goodness of the Lord through it all. More blogs to come about all of that. The goal of this blog was to allow you into my daily life as a Racer. No two days are the same, but every day is worth it.

Thank you guys for reading this blog. I hope that you all enjoyed the little update. Thank you for your continued prayers and support.

There are still a few of my squad mates who are fundraising. The deadline is approaching super fast. If you feel led to donate, please follow the links below. Thank you!!!
