But now, this is what the Lord says—
He who created you, Jacob,
He who formed you, Israel:
“Do not fear, for I have redeemed you;
I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers,
they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not set you ablaze.

It’s been quite a while since you last heard from me and keepin’ it real… I’ve been going through yo! The last thing I even had on my mind was about blogging…every time it came up it just felt like another pile on top of my already full plate Uuugh and I gotta blog too? Life has a way of not coming in a neat convenient fashion but sometimes it comes at you as a disorganized mess demanding your attention and screaming urgency…
Listen folks I’ve been going through and I know I’m not the only one, can I get an Amen? Just been one thing after another challenging my heart for continuing on my Race, things of a more urgent matter kept popping up and slowly the doubt crept in to the point where I’m like maybe I dreamed this whole thing up, maybe this wasn’t Abba after all, I mean if it was then jeez why am i going through so bad??
The funny thing is (not funny “haha!”, but funny “aha!”) the Scripture Abba gives me in Isaiah 43:1-2…honestly I wasn’t even trying to hear it I’m like Abba i’m tired! But He says “When you pass through…” when, when, when…that means that it is inevitable that we will pass through, no doubt about it, so don’t waste your time whining about it kiddo
“When you pass through the waters…when you pass through the rivers…when you walk through the fire…” Yes when, when, when…but here is the kicker:
You are just passing though my friend. You are not staying there. You are passing through the waters of trouble, rivers of difficulties, the fire of oppression…He hasn’t got you camping out in the valley of the shadow of death but you are passing through it
Something else that brings real comfort to me: He is with us…it’s not as if God is watching you go through and He’s like “Hey good luck, you are on your own kid!” no He’s actually right in with you…just open up your heart to Him
Why we gotta go through? Don’t have the answer but in my brief years walking on this earth i have learned that when God allows you to go through something for the sake of His glory that pain you are experiencing has purpose
Praying for Papa to help me get my head back in the game, please pray for me too in desperate need of your support beloved. Yes I’m continuing my Race y’all!
