Hey, all! Here is a little bit about me to start off my blog!

– I am 24 years old…turning 25 in May 2018! I have spent the past 4 years working in local school systems as an Interpreter, aide, tutor, English Learner Instructional Coach, Family Liaison, and English to Speakers of Other Languages Teacher! I have also spent the past 3 years serving on the Board of a local non-profit serving the Latino Youth in my area.

– I was born in Mexico City but have lived in Laredo (Texas) and Hermosillo (Sonora, Mexico) and have spent the last 10 years in Ohio. I am the oldest of two and I love my younger brother, Diego, more than I could ever explain. Go, Diego, Go!

– “Beloved”– the word that has carried me through so much in my life. My heart desires to help others, especially young girls, to embrace their God-given identity.

– I am an INFJ. Although, I have taken a few tests that say ISFJ. Things that interest me: discipleship, working with unaccompanied minors, missionary work, counseling, life coaching… <3

– It’s been a little over 3 years that I have known about and desired to go on the World Race. There were many things that had me putting this decision off. In the last few months, God has challenged me to take a look at my heart and examine the things that had a hold on my soul. He has been teaching me to let go of that things that kept me from truly seeking Him. In slowly letting go of certain things and submitting to obedience, He finally led me to the freedom of saying “yes” to the World Race. 🙂

– The fundraising part of this whole journey scares me and I fear my return home after this mission trip more than anything but I am trusting in the Lord and walking in faith. “Trust” and “faith” are the two words I am learning to feel in the depths of my soul more than ever before through this growing process.

I am excited to take you all along with me 🙂

Remind me who I am // If I’m Your beloved // Can you help me believe it // Tell me, once again // Who I am to you
