We have made it to Kazakhstan! No more password for the blog and now I can start sharing with you the craziness that was this past month! But before I post on the “Greats Walls To China” hehe, my teammate, Marianna, just posted this blog and I am copy-pasting it here to humble myself into a spirit of thankfulness for all the Lord did this past month.

Marianna is currently doing a devotional on gratitude and thankfulness and she shared some of the things the Lord has been teaching her. She then encouraged us to look in Psalm and write our own Psalm to the Lord. So, with their permission, Marianna then collected everyone’s Psalm and here they are:

 Marianna:

The LORD my GOD is good, He is love, He is merciful and faithful. Because of these things I will be joyful, I will be glad, and I will sing out His name and praise it as long as I have breath. I will be thankful all my life for the great love, goodness, mercy, and truth of the LORD. Amen!

Thankful from the Treasured

MacKenzie:I’m thankful for the each individual star you placed so delicately in the sky knowing that mirrors the way you created me. I’m thankful for the footprints in the sand left behind in my journey of everywhere you have lead me. I’m in awe of all the quicksand you have lead me out of, knowing it was making me stronger with every single stride forward. You are the constant I have pursued through worldly things, as constant as the sun so many chase on a cold afternoon. You have never left when I’ve screamed at you to disappear and you always came running when I’ve begged you to be near. Thank you for giving me the love I don’t deserve but need so desperately to survive.

MY ONLY LASTING JOY.

Michaela

The LORD is my joy.

My only lasting joy.

The world can offer me temporary satisfaction, but the love of my GOD is everlasting.

I will sing of His praise through the hurting.

I will be thankful for His love in the midst of confusion.

I will find the joy in all things because God is in all things.

I will stand in awe of His thankfulness forever.

The LORD is my joy.

My only lasting joy.

Frieda:

God, I sing unto You for You are good. Your definition of good for me is beautifully unimaginable. Your wonder and Your mystery captivate my heart. May my life be a reflection of Your everlasting love. May my testimony ring of the goodness of my Papa, my Lord, my friend. With every word that leaves my lips and every step I take to action, may a spirit of gratitude be the the force behind. I love you, Lord.

Laura:

Oh Lord my God, how wonderful is Your name. You are righteous and powerful, creator of all things. I’m awestruck by Your artwork that surrounds me. What amazes me more is that it is man that You chose to breathe Your breath into, that You formed humanity by hand. What is man that You would choose to know him intimately, that You choose to love him? You thought of me before I was a thought in my mother’s mind. You created me, carefully and tenderly piecing me together inside my mother’s womb with Your plan for my life already thought out. You walk with me daily, guiding me by the hand. You are so, so good to me, and I will forever praise you.

Song of Redemption

Ellie:

Sing praises to the All Mighty Lord

For his love endures forever

When I walked through the shadows your light sought me out and guided me home

When I stumbled on to the well worn path

And chose to follow the ways of those around me

You walked patiently  beside me

Your warm embrace only just behind me should I chose to turn around

I will sing  praises of your love and mercy

Until the day I cross into the heavenly place and gaze upon your glory for the first time
