First blog!! My teammates and other squadmates had been encouraging me to share my story. So, here it begins—
This day marks the end of our month in Albania. God had surprised me with amazing things. Since day one of my application, I didn’t have a lot of expectation from Albania. Well, again, I’m in awe of you, God.
My squad was assigned to work with Lightforce International, which has different ministry locations in the world. The center in Ishull-Lezhe had been our home this month.
The director and host was a great example of leadership, care, wisdom and work ethics to say the least. If I could say one thing about Albania would be, George, the host. He poured his wisdom, life and 40 years of ministry experience in our stay.
The center runs a children’s summer camp filled with various activities. We were preparing the compound for the summer camp by doing various tasks.
Learning points from this month:
– Listening to wisdom, life and 40 years of ministry experience from our amazing host, George Ridley, has inspired me to intentionally seek more of such good stuff in the future, whenever possible.
-Bible Study as a squad is a great uniting mean. It had been teaching me that desiring to spend time with the word of God is priceless.
-I need to initiate approaching others to build/grow relationships, and not wait for others to come to me.
– Giving feedback to squad mates when in need (and not being limited to teammates)
-Acknowledging to live peacefully with personality differences is a continuous process!!
– Trying to be flexible to do any kind of ministry work, as long as my back is not in severe danger zone [had back injury three months ago]
Please keep my squad in your prayer, as we are heading to Bulgaria tonight on a 12 hours bus ride.
Thanks for reading.
