Dear beloved friends,
I am extremely joyful to share some great news with you about my upcoming endeavor of The World Race. Being my friend, there are a few things I’d like you to know!
Over the course of the past year I’ve gone through extreme change in my life. I went to school with full tuition, switched schools, moved twice, and am now learning to support myself. Time and time again I have wrestled with my options of pursuing something I enjoy and also pursuing a vocation that will bring physical healing (such as nursing or nutrition).
Throughout the journey there’s been much growth, loss, and many blessings. One thing I have found that has rang tried and true throughout all this is a simple lesson:
Through the greatest adversity, comes the greatest victory.
After two years of school and moving around, I needed something beyond my 20 mile radius of Phoenix Arizona to open my eyes. After talking with my mentor, Matthew, we discovered a program ran through the organization Adventures in Missions. It seemed I had finally struck gold; after much prayer and reviewing the options of school, work, and the Race, I decided upon the race.
The World Race is a 9 month program that takes place in Malaysia, Guatemala, and Botswana for three months each. This organization does an intense disciple program during the mission in order to help people discover their specific calling/skillset. Adventures in Missions has made it their aim to help these locations through a multitude of humanitarian efforts and ministries. These will include working with victims of sex trafficking, helping as an aid in orphanages, construction/re-construction projects, and planting churches. Above all else, this program helps to bring people the restoration that is found through our Father’s love.
Many trials will refine who I am during The Race, but the biggest trial right now is financial support. In order to leave fully funded by early September, I will need raise an approximate $16,000 (this includes principle of 12,480 and gear/traveling logistics) to cover all expenses for the 9 months I’m overseas. As I take this leap of faith will you prayerfully consider supporting me at $100 a month or any other amount? …Anything helps!

$6,000 – Due May 8th 2015 (17 weeks prior to trip)
$9,000 – Due July 3rd 2015 (9 weeks prior to trip)
$11,900.00 + $580.00 (*Insurance) = $12,480.00 – Total Due August 21st (2 weeks prior to trip)
