Walking along the steep terrain of the Nepali mountain side is breathtaking! Seeing mountains upon mountains, and realizing that there are even more mountains climbing higher than those that you already see really puts things into perspective. This world sure is big.

Some updates:

India:

India was an excellent experience and I wouldn’t put it past me to return someday.   Team rise up led vbs camps in 7 different children's homes, and they were a great success. On our last day in Ongole (our base in southern india) we lucked out by being able to attend their “second saturday” event where all the children in every home come to hear announcements, learn bible stories, worship and visit the dentist. We helped lead games and crafts with all the kids from every house we had visited the week before! It was awesome having them all in the same place at the same time and to be able to say goodbye!

Squad:

At the end of our ministry in India the whole squad came together and we found out our new squad leaders and team leaders. The whole squad (the 42 of us) have been shuffled around quite a bit. I’ve left a team of 7 and started with a new team of 5. Although it’s only a difference of 2 people, it is much more intimate and close knit. It’s easier to discuss and debate, and less people to be concerned with on travel days. Although it was hard to leave the last team, this new team is awesome!!!! We’ve only been together for about two weeks now, but it’s super cool to see how they’ve already become great friends for me.

Team:

We’ve decided to call ourselves “Saturation 42”. Influenced by Psalm 42 “as the deer pants for the water so my soul…”, and because we want to be saturated in Christ.
