Can I encourage you now to take some time to get to know my squad? Click HERE to go to the page that lists all my squad mates in our respective teams. Everyone has their own story as to how they got here as well as what they still need to be able to go on the trip, then once we launch we will all be writing about our experiences throughout the year. Obviously I would ask you to look at my team in particular but I can tell you that everyone on the squad is fantastic and worth getting to know. Here we all are kitted out in red 😀

You can help financially. Now I'm pretty much entirely funded for this year now, but there are many on my squad who are not (at present there are still a number of people who have not met the support target to be able to launch with us in September). Can I ask you to consider giving something to support someone in coming out this year? You'll find links for giving support on everyone's blogs so follow the links there if you think that's something you can do.
- You can read our blogs and encourage us with comments/emails/skypes/other as we go. The year won't always be easy and we may: miss our friends and families back home; find the conditions we are in tough; struggle with the knowledge of what others have to go through as thei lives; become ill, discouraged or disillusioned; or anything else, and so a kind word or deed can go a long way.
I really look forward to being able to share with you everything that happens over the coming year, and hope that you can be a part of it, not just as an observer, but as someone who helps hold up and support this squad.
