Coming Home Early
James 4:13,14 “Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.”
We had just arrived to Thailand to start month 3 of the World Race when we got the email saying that because of the virus and other precautions, we must return to the states. Many sacrificed a lot believing that we had one year where we wouldn’t need our jobs, cars, homes, beds, etc. We packed up a few clothes and prepared to sleep in tents if necessary, but guess what? God is All Knowing and we are not. He knew this would happen. We can trust that with all the unanswered questions, He is sovereign and He knows what He is doing. So, though sadness and disappointment came and went amidst the group, we ended our race on a happy note at the elephant sanctuary. Tomorrow we fly out. Please pray for all the squads and missionaries all over that had to return home, for peace, clarity, and perseverance. Also, for local ministries around the world that still need help. God is with them.
I truly appreciate all that supported me. I’ll be sharing a summary of what your funds helped me to do. Just give me some time to process and rest, as this all happened so fast. Meanwhile as I reacclimatize, If you still want to be a blessing you still can. I no longer have a bed, my car, and will need some time to start working somewhere again. No stress this way though because I have a roof and a Father that provides. Just thought I’d let you in since you’ve been so kind, and Im not to proud to say your support still means a lot. My cash app is the same. $CourtneyFi, and I will see you all back in the states in a few. ??
