I will be flying out to Atlanta this Friday (wait, that’s tomorrow!!) to meet up with the rest of my team, and we will take off next Tuesday for our first country, Australia. I also have some good news: I’m fully funded! Thank you so much for going above and beyond to help me reach my goal!

If you ask any of my friends, they can tell you that I love to plan my days and weeks out. I’ve witnessed over and over again that God is by far the best planner, not because He lets me be where I want to be, but because He leads me to where He knows I need to be. I couldn’t have planned 2018 better myself, especially my departure date. I’m leaving the country on January 16, 2018, which will be exactly 7 years after I became a Christian on January 16, 2011 at Mt. Hermon. The number 7 is significant in the Bible and symbolizes completion. I know that God is not done with me yet, but this is a reminder that I have been made complete in Him (Colossians 2:10).

Thank you to everyone who took the time to grab a meal or boba with me this past month, and thank you for the beautiful send-off. As hard as it is to leave my amazing community here, God calls for obedience so that we can be sent out to proclaim His love and saving grace.

Which countries will you be serving in?
Our first stop is Australia, and from there we will travel to Indonesia, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Spain, and Morocco. The focus of our route is to go to some of the most unreached areas of the world, also known as the 10/40 window. The Joshua Project is a great resource to learn more about this topic!

How do you feel?
This still feels surreal, but I am so excited!! I look forward to experiencing diverse cultures, engaging different people groups, and especially hearing people’s unique stories. I am definitely also nervous because I don’t know exactly what to expect or what I’m doing, but that’s why I’m going.

What are your prayer requests?
Please pray for safety, team unity, gospel conversations, quality quiet times, and my friends/family. Please pray for humility and patience on my part. Let’s experience the power of prayer together 🙂

If you would like to be on the prayer list, please shoot me an email (feiyaowr@gmail). At times there will be ministry-related prayer requests that I won’t be able to post, and I would appreciate your prayers. We will be on a social media fast the first month, so email will also be the best way to reach me.

Thank you so much for all of your love and support! You have no idea how much I will miss every single one of you this year, but I’m strengthened and encouraged already knowing that so many of you have committed to praying for me and my team. I can’t wait to see you in 11 months!
