Here is the blog about the two Unsung stories I wanted to share with you more deeply.

Michelle is a lady I met when feeding the homeless with a ministry. She wasn’t like most people we met. She had the light of Christ beaming out of her, she had hope, and she had JOY. This beautiful lady welcomed me to sit along side her. I began to hear her story and to share life with her. It’s the craziest ways the Lord shows us His love. Michelle had a tough past. She was raised Christian but came to a stumbling block at a young age. She met a man that was a true con artist. He took advantage of her beautiful spirit and tossed it away. He convinced her to convert to Islam through extreme deceiving and painful measures. After a few children and a hard marriage she gained the strength to turn back to Christ. She and the children ended up leaving but with no money they didn’t make it far. The children now are in an amazing Children’s Home and she gets to visit and call them often. Although she is on the streets God is preparing her heart. She began to get involved in a Church up the road from where she sleeps. The closer she came to Christ the more her past started to wash away. Her pain and heartache began to be crushed. She began to feel the true lover our Father has for her. Her mourning turn to joy and her fears turned to hope. She is one strong women who is passionately in love with Christ. However evil still exist and life is not always the way we desire it. One night she was gage raped by 5 different men in the streets. Yet the beautiful thing is she lost no faith in the Lord. Her pastor and church family has walked along side her and helped find the people who have hurt her. She never sleeps across from the police station for safety and help. I was blessed and honored to meet her the night before the the trail of these men began. I was able to pray with her and just praise our Heavenly Father. What an honor and a joy. Although I will never know the true outcome of this trial I know the Fathers love for his beautiful daughter. I know he has her in his hands and will never let her go. Michelle is such an encouragement to all of us to keep the faith. Christ is with us and will never forsake us. As the days come and go I know she will find a job, she will get a home, she will get her children back, and she will provide for her family. Our God is big and there is nothing he can’t do.

Grace Family Church is one of the largest Churches in Durban. It was a huge church that reaches out to all the communities around. Like I said before, it was the most diverse church I have ever been too. It was beautiful and encouraging to see how many lives they touch each day. The worship was in ENGLISH and it was songs we knew. It was great. The pastors were friendly and even took us out to lunch after the service. Wow, its the little things that mean so much to us. It was defiantly the closest thing to Grace I’ve had on the race. The church was so friendly and very encouraging. We found out they have a ministry called “container ministry” which serves over 165 different ministries around South Africa. What they do is get other countries to donate foods and items to serve these ministries. They fill shipping containers over to South Africa and give these items to the ministries. It was beautiful seeing the kingdom working all together to serve the nations. Thankfully one a year they have a workshop for all these ministries to come too, be fed spiritually and to grow deeper together. My God’s grace the conference was that coming Wednesday and we were blessed to meet the ministries on the spot. We all spread out and were able to meet with many different programs. It was like God just handed us a blessing straight from heaven. It was beautiful and so rewarding. That following friday we were blessed to also go work with the youth ministry. They were having “talent night” and hundreds of kids were there. We got to hang out and just enjoy the life of youngsters. The youth director is my age and yet he is so powerful. God’s power is flowing from his bones and when he speaks the kids listen. He is so respected and so needed in these kids lives. It was a blessing to spend time with him as well. Grace Family Church was so encouraging and a blessing to attend. We are so honored to walk along believers all around the world and serve His people together.
