This month in Swaziland was different than most.  Yes, again I was teaching in schools but this time was so different.  These kids were heart warming and heart breaking.

You know what its like to walk into a room and your heart just drops?  This happened each day. Let me explain:

That moment when some would come to school with clothes 3 sizes too small.

That moment when some would come with one sandal and one dress shoe on.

That moment when knowing that the food we served would be the only meal most of them saw.

That moment when the hugs we gave would be the only ones they would receive.

That moment when you know many of them are literally dying before your eyes and the treatment they deserve are just out of reach.

That moment when you walk into a room full of smiles masking the pain in their hearts.

That moment when all they want is a high five or good job.

That moment when they steal pieces of your heart without saying a single word.

That moment when each day becomes harder and harder to handle.

That moment when its more painful to actually go to work than to not.

That moment when your heart is totally crushed.

That moment when you hear the parents say they don’t care for their children.

That moment when the children scream out Psalms 100 each day.

That moment when they will come up with any reason to talk to you and say “techa techa”.

That moment when a child learns to write his name for the first time by himself.

That moment when snotty noses are the cutest faces around.

That moment when trying to pronounce names is more fun than actually trying to teach.

That moment when dancing in class was the reward for everything.

That moment when apple is pronounced a-pull and vegetable was pronounced veg-tay-ball.

That moment when the children tackle you with their love.

That moment when counting your blessings were endless.

These moments will stay in my heart for years to come.  The pain I feel will always be outweighed by the blessings I gained.  I am beyond blessed and filled with the love from my Father.

Thank you Lord for your beautiful love.
