Here’s a little bit about me:

I am 21 years old, and a senior at the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio (read closely, that’s Dayton, Ohio, not Daytona, Florida). I am currently studying to be an Intervention Specialist (special education teacher). I am part of a ministry called Young Life, which focuses on forming relationships with high school students and earning the right to share the Gospel. I will graduate in May and then stay in Dayton until we launch in August.

I grew up in a suburb of Detroit, Michigan and lived there until I was 16 with my parents and my older sister, Kali. Before my junior year of high school I moved to Dayton, Ohio and have been here ever since. It’s been great, but I’m so excited to explore the world and call new places home for the next year.

Animals are one of my favorite things in the world. I know a lot of people say that, but I REALLY love them. I adopted a puppy from the animal rescue when I moved to Ohio in 10th grade. She is a lab shepherd mix named Mia  and I probably talk about her as well as any other animals I’ve met recently more than I talk about my friends. I love riding horses, and playing with pretty much any other animal that has fur.

I also love travelling. I have been lucky to travel a fair amount in my short 21 years and they have been some of the best experiences I have had. That is what led me to the World Race. Ever since hearing about it three years ago, I knew it was something I was meant to do. I cannot wait to see another 11 countries and get to know some of the wonderful people that live there!
