This blog has taken drastically too long, but I am writing to let you know that I am back in America! I have completed the journey of the World Race, and am back living in my Grandmother’s house in Bailey, Colorado. The eleven months in total went by faster than I could have imagined, but during some difficult months it also felt extremely long. By the grace of God I have made it home, completed the trip, and have come out the other side more spiritually refined than I ever could have imagined.

So, what are my next steps? Am I going to be continuing missions or pursue my social work career?

Well, for now I am not going to get a “normal” job. I feel like the Lord is encouraging me to focus on Him, and to continue processing while I set up a good Christian community up here. I have found a church called “New City” down in Denver, and I feel like I am going to be able to grow and form a good community there. I have started attending Sunday services as well as the “City Group” on Tuesday nights. I am also volunteering with Platte Canyon Community Church’s High Schoolers. I get to help out at youth group on Monday nights, as well as occasionally spending time with the youth at events such as rock climbing, Pray for Rain, coffee dates, and Friday night Food. I am also partaking in Crow Hill Church’s Women’s Bible study on Wednesday nights. We are currently doing Pricilla Shirer’s study on The Armor of God, and it is incredible so far.

Another thing I am going to be working on during this transition time is my writing. I was recently asked to be a contributing writer for Wrecked for the Ordinary online magazine/blog site (wrecked.org). Wrecked focuses on sharing real and raw stories and struggles, while bringing the audience hope and redemption. We are still working out the scheduling, but I will definitely share more as this develops. I am also going to be working on writing a devotional about entering into more intimacy with Christ, which will incorporate my past eleven month journey. I feel like since God is giving me the space to process everything up here in Bailey, I need to be a good steward of that time.

With all of the said, don’t worry Missions is definitely still in my near future.

If you’ve been following my journey you know that the Lord has placed Macedonia on my heart. I am blessed to say that I will be going back to Macedonia at the beginning of next year! Once I get all the details I will share more with you, but just know that it is going to be an incredible trip filled with vision and hope. I am also going to be leading a missions trip with Adventures and Missions – but that wont be until the Fall of next year.

God Bless You All,
Faith
