Another change happened yesterday! So, the ferry strike that was keeping us stranded on the island ended on Friday, but we are still stuck here longer than we initially thought.
We now have ferry tickets for Wednesday – because the ferries have been overloaded with people now that they are running again. So, Wednesday was the soonest we could get off the island.
Since we now know how long we are here – we are back working with the refugees until we leave! I thought I had my last shift already – so I was already processing all of that, BUT God is definitely trying to teach me flexibility and dependence on Him.
I had my first shift back last night – and our “final shift” is now scheduled for Tuesday evening.
Once do leave the island my team and I are headed to Bitola, Macedonia! We will be staying at a church and working with the pastor – similarly to what we did the first month of our race. The church we will be working with is called the Evangelical Church of Bitola.
I am excited to go to a new country, and anxious to start the new ministry I have been preparing for! On the other hand it is also hard to think about leaving the ministry here in Lesvos, the squad, and this beautiful island.
Please continue to pray for the refugees here on the island, but also our continued work with them, and our travel to our next site!
I am also not yet fully funded, so if you all could be praying for that as well I would be oh so grateful! Fundraising is difficult when you are half way around the world – and you don’t even always have wifi to connect to.
God bless all of you! Thank you for your prayers, support, and your continued interest in me and what is going on in my life!
